I'm looking forward to NCRC Level 1 training in Puerto Rico in a couple of weeks. I was wondering who else will be going. Is there a registration list to look at? If not, maybe anyone on this board that is going could reply here. See you there!
I'll actually be there the week beforehand, doing some caves around Arecibo. I was tempted to stay the extra week and get some NCRC certification, but I can't take two weeks straight off from work. And, no offense to the fine NCRC people, but I didn't want my first and possibly only week in Puerto Rico to be spent entirely inside a gym tying knots.
I'm in PR from April 3 - 20 but not planning any caving or rescue practice - just a holiday with the wife and visiting a friend. Well, okay, maybe a little tourist caving.
My friend Roy Becker is going ... and I think Anmar Mirza is going, too. I'm not though ...

Just got back last night from PR. Boy, that island has some huge caves. The waater level was pretty high when I was there, but it should hopefully be draining so nothing's too flooded for the NCRC people. We ended up camping at the farm where a lot of the vertical rigging will be set up: there's a puppy there that's the cutest thing in the world, but will not stop biting your hands and ankles for anything. We spent the whole time alternately wanting to adopt him and cut his head off.
