2010 Vermont Convention lost and found

Postby NZcaver » Aug 9, 2010 12:02 pm

A lime green plastic spatula was found in the convention campground after everybody left on Saturday.

If this belongs to you, please contact Chief Troublemaker Bill Putnam to claim it.

No way - you had already lost it and were looking for it when you arrived at the Gazebo!
We weren't even sure it was yours until you fessed up.

Besides, as I said Friday night, what happens at the Gazebo stays at the Gazebo.

Also, my blue and grey mesh REI camp chair disappeared from the vicinity of the Gazebo at some point during the week - possibly Saturday morning during the "vacate the campground by 10am or else!" packing frenzy. If anyone has it and would be willing to exchange it for a small lime-green apparently unused (or at least "like-new") spatula, please contact me.

Bill, your chair was located and possibly transported to Missouri. I remember Marsha Walker and Joel Laws standing around trying to figure out who it belonged to. There was also a green REI raincoat that I think went to a new home.

p.s. Gazebo people are also my people.

Awesome! Well, Joel can hang onto it for me until the next event... Now that I am a Speleo-political BNC I guess I have to go to all of them.

Please keep the mutual admiration noise level in the gazebo area down to a dull roar. Thanks. :tonguecheek:

Now you're really starting to hurt my feelings. How soon they forget... Sigh.

Perhaps the gazebo was also "lost and found" a few times over the past week. :tonguecheek:

Bill, I spoke to soon about your chair. Bonny says the chair in question was claimed by Val Schmidt as her own. Yours is still on the lam.

The green REI raincoat went home with me to Tennessee. I was the only person it would fit and since the 10:00 deadline was approaching, it was take it or trash it.
I will be happy to return it to its rightful owner. PM me if you think it is yours.
