Uploading an Avatar(picture?) to display under member's name

Postby CaveJunkie » Nov 17, 2005 1:41 am

:help:

Wayne Harrison,

Sorry for the placement of this post....I couldn't post it in the "Please Read" section. Can you please add a topic in that section explaining how to get a picture under a member's name? I know others have figured it out but I am having a difficult time getting anything to show up....maybe it is my computer...

I'll let Wayne deal with an official How To, but in the mean time, I'll give you a pointer. Click on "Profile" which is up near the top of the page, just under "Cavechat.org". From there, scroll to the bottom of the page and there's a panel for "avatars" which is computer speak for a computerized (e.g. image or 3D representation) of a person. In our case, it's the little image we use to project who we are.....

Ok, so I look like a squirrel on crack! Really, I'm a nice, educated person.....

Thanks....I had already made it that far. The problem I am having is that no matter how small the file nothing seems to show up....

Which one of the 3 techniques are you using to put up an avatar?

Have you both made sure that it's:
- no bigger than 125 x 125 pixels
and
- max 8 kB
?
