Here is a small map:

The cave is to Georgia (former member of Soviet Union), to Arabika mountains.

Russians call that area of Georgia Abhazia and the cave Voronya (sometimes also known as Voronia or Voronja).

Ukrainians call that Cave as Krubera, it's the same cave with all it's 4 names

At 7,020.9973753 feet (straight metric conversion to feet) that .. is... a ... long long way down.
Congrats to the team! As it is most certianly not the work of one individual.

My deepest to date has been only (by comparison) a mere 1165 feet (355.092 meters). Me thinks I've some catching up to do neh?
