Now I thought, if fleshed out, it would make a cool movie. Problem is that I doubt Hollywood would find it to be "exciting enough". Oh well.

Well that all depends upon the director and cinematographer doesn't it. Hitchcock was masterful at suspenseful stories. I mean if anyone else tried directing the Birds ... it probably would've sucked.

Thus if done right it could be one of those slowly built up tension mounting suspense movies that freak out everyone who watches.

IF in the hands of the right director.

Well, as far as cave horror movies go I believe that THE CAVE didn't suck as hard as most of the critics claimed it did....it semi-sucked. However, I thought that THE DESCENT was a really cool movie ... a few minor caving quibbles...but it was a great horror flick.

"Below"
"The Darkness"
"The Hole" (yeah, yeah... don't go there, ya perv..)

PS, hollywood execs; PM me on where to send my check..

There's already a Below movie. It's a ghost movie on a submarine. Better than The Cave, not as good as The Descent.
