Im looking for anyone making caving trips in Claiborne Co TN. Specifically English Cave, I have the location of the entrance and a map of the cave but that is all. Im looking for information about the property owner and would love to have some more experienced info about this cave. Ive had a very hard time getting information about caves in the area, most local grottos either wont respond to emails or suggest attending a meeting, but being in professional school at LMU, I almost never have time to attend a Tuesday meeting during the week. Let me know if anyone has any info!

As regards the ownership question, do a Google search for Claiborne Co TN GIS map or parcel map. Almost all counties in our area maintain one of these maps, where you can find out who owns what parcel.
Sadly, many grottoes don't maintain websites or email, and most only monitor facebook group pages.

Thanks! I was totally unaware that I was approaching such a notable milestone. I am quite the chatter, at least when it comes to cave-related topics. :cavechat:

I still cave in Claiborne County and am familiar with English Cave. A sale of the property was pending a few months ago, but I don't know if it closed or not. We'd love to have you join us at a grotto meeting in Knoxville. I know it isn't convenient because I used to drive down from Harrogate myself. Unfortunately, it's really the only good way to get to know people in the local caving community.

I have been inside Cline cave several times in the past. The last time was around 2005-2006. I am 63 yrs old now and Cline cave is an easy walk and an easy entrance with access all the way to the back where it dead ends. There is also a fresh water spring about half way back into it.
