NSS website has been hacked

From NSS President Geary Schindel: Scammers have accessed the NSS web site and are attempting to scam the membership and various grottos. No NSS board member or officer will ever ask you to buy a gift card as a donation to the NSS.
If you are interested in supporting the NSS (and we hope you do), please go directly to the NSS web site at www.caves.org. or the donation page at www.caves.org/donate/index.shtml . There, your donation will be properly accounted and used as you intended.
