Carter Caves State Park, KY maps

Postby terrwe » Mar 21, 2017 12:56 pm

Our family spent some time at Carter County Caves State Park last fall. They have opened Horn Hollow and Laurel Caves with a simple permit. We went to Horn Hollow and I expected a really short walk with little to see. It turned out be perfect for my kids to poke around and feel like they were leading the exploration. Does anyone have maps for either of those caves that you can share? I would like to return and introduce reading maps to my kids.

I am sure that members of the Kentucky Cave Survey have copies; however, cavers don't normal share that type of information with non-members. Did you check with the state park office? Since they offer permitted visitation, I would not be surprised if they had some basic cave maps to share with the permitted visitors.
