photo of Benedict's entry squeeze?

Hi all --

Monday night I returned to the Boston area from a great weekend of caving in West Virginia. I was ... er, impressed by what I can only call the sternness of the Persinger entrance to Benedict's Cave, which was even harder coming out than going in as I had dehydrated myself (this was my first serious trip after 20+ years aboveground) and was really tired.

Maybe a weird question, but does anyone have a photo of this squeeze? I have Googled it but have come up empty-handed so far; there is a short video on Youtube of a caver preparing to enter it, but the video doesn't really show the passage clearly.

I'd just like to show friends what I navigated my chunky torso through, as most of them can't imagine wanting to do such a thing. :tonguecheek:

Thanks,

Glenn

Besides Googling, you could have also tried Facebook (if you have an account that is). Facebook is a very good search tool. I typed Persinger Entrance into the Facebook search engine and was returned back with several entries including a 2012 public post by Robert Kirk that shows a picture of the Persinger Entrance and a picture of the Persinger Entrance crawl.

It's a nice entrance isn't it? The last time I did it the floor of the squeeze featured several fresh, runny turds that were strangely crawling with pill-bugs. I got some on me.
