Bear Cave in Buchannan MI

Postby BearCave » Jun 18, 2014 2:14 pm

I recently became the manager of a Tufa cave named Bear Cave in Buchannan MI. I have collected a lot of history of the cave, but I am trying to discover more about the Geology of the cave itself. I am wondering if anyone has any advice or contacts in or near by Michigan that may be able to help. Thank you for reading!

A caver named Rane Curl may get in touch with you. He is in Michigan, I think.

There is a brief description for the geology of Bear Cave at

http://www.showcaves.com/english/usa/sh ... /Bear.html

I don't know more than that (have only visited the cave once).
Incidentally, though the glaciers may have destroyed all cave
in Michigan, several presumably post-glacial caves exist in addition
to Bear Cave.
