I assume from the dearth of postings about Hurricane Cave, GA in the past 5 years (not to mention the TAG closed cave list and the SCCI Fox Mt Preserve website) that the "historic" culvert entrance remains closed because of the structural/safety concerns. Is there any timeline on when (or whether) repairs will be completed?

The culvert is technically on the GDOT right of way and is not owned by the SCCi. When the culvert issue was brought to their attention they "fixed" the problem by installing a gate over the culvert mouth. The Fox mountain preserve managers have been looking at options to remedy this situation and hopefully something will happen in the next year.
