Caving in Northern Ireland ***VIDEO***

I think there should be a section especially for cave videos, i never know how to post them. Anyway here is a video of our last weekend in the North of Ireland, great fun, have a look. Quentin

Hi Quentin, We do have a videography forum, though it's supposed to be for the equipment and techniques for making the videos--not simply the posting of finished videos. I'm sure no one would mind if you posted there, or here in the General forum.

I always like to watch your video--just for the music! :waving:

I didn't study the footage really carefully, but it looked like one of the guys was using a mini-rack? Then the next scene was someone using a bobbin-style descender. Did one of the guys have a mini-rack?

Hi Barbara, great to hear from you! There was 5 of us, three had Petzl stops, one had the Petzl bobbin (The red stop but without the handle), and I had the Kong mini-rack (Italian i think), you only need to open two bars as the other two are fixed, its quick and easy, and a very smooth ride, no jolting from the top of the pitch. :cavingrocks:

Enjoyed the video. It is interesting to see what headlamps people use around the world.
