Brian and I can attest to that hole in the floor being an alternate route to the tough climb down, but it's only squeezable by kids. The 8-12 year old girls with us beat us to the bottom by going that way, but Brian's wiry college-age son Nick (who has no problem doing the Blue Crawl in Tumbling Rock) couldn't follow them.

I've been in Howard's a half a dozen time but had never been to the area I refer to as the "basement". I took my girlfriend and my 12 year old son, and all I can is WOW! That's a big canyon down there. There is even a nicely decorated area on the way down that hasn't been vandalized that was impressive. We carried 2 ropes for hand lines and had no problem getting to the bottom of the Disaster Room with 2 rigging's. It was a very fun trip and we are all eager to do it again!
