East Tennessee Caves

My mother lives in the Kingsport, TN area and we visit often. Are there any good caves in that area? I know about Worley's but see much karst landscapes and sinks. I have visited Appalacian Caverns and done the wild tour. That has whetted my appetite for caves that must be in that area.

Thx,

Rat

Look up the Mountain Empire Grotto. They cave in that area all the time. And, yes, there are hundreds of caves around Kingsport and the Tri-Cities. MEG knows where they all are and they are always looking for new, excited cavers to show around.

I'm not especially "new or excited" as I have caved since the 80's. I just have not caved much in that area. Thanks for the info Scott!

New to them, you are. New blood can invigorate cavers, sometimes.
