True Statement.
If your battery gets damaged it may "vent".
Protection circuits do fail. - I have had a few battery PCB's fail, however, so far only one could have caused a real problem.
The PCB on the sten batteries does not include a balancing function for charging.
I have yet to find a PCB with this function tat can be mounted on/in the sten type battery (same size and shape)
