Here are a few basic tips:
- Please search existing topics before deciding to start a new one
The search box is in the top right corner of the page. As you read through the results you may find your question has already been asked and answered, or your other valuable information was previously shared by someone else.
Feel free to post your question or other information in an existing topic. If an old topic has been dormant for a while, all the better to breathe some new life into it. Consolidating information also makes it easier for others to search in the future.
- When starting a new topic, please place it in the most appropriate section of the forum
Click on the Forum Index Page and scroll down the list of over 20 sub-forums. The Caving General Discussion and Questions forum at the top is for caving topics not covered in other areas of the forum. If a discussion starts to move off-topic (as it often does), please feel free to start a new topic to continue the new line of discussion.
- Please avoid making the exact same post in multiple places on the forum
Choose the most appropriate sub-forum and topic, and post there. If you know of another related topic on the forum, consider helping out by adding a link to that topic.
